1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ResumeBuilderUSA ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by ResumeBuilderUSA, an Oregon registered business (ABN Registry Number 253776091).

2. Description of Service

ResumeBuilderUSA is an AI-powered resume optimization tool designed to help users format and tailor their resumes for federal government job applications through USAJobs. The Service includes resume analysis, AI-powered resume generation, job announcement parsing, veteran preference calculation, hiring eligibility assessment, and digital career guides.

3. Not a Government Service

ResumeBuilderUSA is an independent, private service and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), USAJobs, or any federal government agency. Use of this Service does not guarantee employment, interview selection, referral, or any specific outcome in the federal hiring process.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful information about your qualifications and experience
• Not use the Service to fabricate, exaggerate, or misrepresent your qualifications
• Review all AI-generated content for accuracy before submitting to any employer
• Not upload documents containing Social Security Numbers or other highly sensitive PII
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose

You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated resume content. The AI assists in formatting and optimizing your existing qualifications — it cannot create qualifications you do not possess. Submitting false information on a federal job application may violate federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1001).

5. Subscription and Payment

Plans: We offer Single Use ($9.99 one-time), Monthly ($29/month), and Annual ($249/year) plans. Prices are subject to change with notice.

Billing: Subscription payments are processed by Square. Monthly and Annual plans auto-renew unless canceled before the next billing cycle.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You retain access through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

Refunds: Single Use purchases are non-refundable once the AI-generated resume has been delivered. For subscriptions, contact us within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund if unsatisfied.

Veteran Discount: The 25% military veteran discount requires verification of qualifying discharge status (Honorable or Under Honorable Conditions) via DD-214 or VA Letter. Fraudulent discount claims will result in account termination.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of all resume content, work history, and personal information you provide. The AI-generated resume output is yours to use as you wish.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, AI prompts, code, and digital guides, is the intellectual property of ResumeBuilderUSA. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL RESUMEBUILDERUSA, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Failure to obtain federal employment
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated content
• Loss of data or unauthorized access to uploaded documents
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Actions taken by hiring agencies based on your application

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResumeBuilderUSA from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or misrepresentation of your qualifications on any job application.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Oregon.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
